I am currently creating a custom snow biome on a mooshroom island on a server. I don't need light, but i am going to want at least some light around the paths and buildings.

How can i prevent the snow layers and ice blocks from melting?
Can it be done with a command or maybe a datapack? I tried googling but no results other than gametick 0.
Place the lights overhead, so the light level stays 11 or lower on snow and regular ice.
"Snow will melt if there is a block light level of 12 or more. In Bedrock Edition, it will also melt in dry biomes, regardless of block light or daylight level. If there are multiple layers, all layers melt at once; the snow levels do not gradually reduce in height."
"Ice will also melt into water if the light level immediately next to it on any side is sufficiently high (greater than 11), from light sources other than sunlight."
Packed ice and blue ice do not melt.
I don't see anything about it in the wiki, but you used to be able to light magma blocks indirectly so they would emit a specific light level.

I heard red stone torches don’t melt ice, But in case that’s not enough light I would try a jack-o-lantern, prismarine light sources, or lava encased in glass (will look pretty damn cool underwater in the walls)
